Kwan Ja Nim Chong Su Kim was born in Song Tan, Korea. He moved to York, PA in 1977 & became a United States citizen in 1982. He founded the Pan American Tang Soo Do Federation in 1986. His original philosophy that every member of the federation would be treated equally with respect, honesty, loyalty and courtesy holds true today. Kwan Ja Nim Kim has traveled the world to promote Tang Soo Do and to help needy people everywhere. The Pan Am Tang Soo Do Federation has raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities under Kwan Ja Nim's guidance.
