The Flag of the United States of America
The thirteen stripes represent the original thirteen colonies. The fifty stars represent the fifty states currently in the union. The red symbolizes the blood shed in the name of freedom. The white symbolizes purity, and the blue symbolizes unity.

The Flag of the Republic of Korea
The center symbol is called Tae Keuk, an equally and balanced circle. It represents the absolute or the essential unity of all being. The red section is called YANG the blue is called UM (YING). Together they represent day and night, light and dark, active and passive, hot and cold. The three solid lines represent Heaven, the three broken lines, Earth. The two solid and one broken represent Fire and the two broken and one solid symbolizes Water.

The Symbol of the PanAm Tang Soo Do Federation
The Korean flag symbolizes Tang Soo Do's country of origin. The American flag symbolizes the country of our headquarters. The fist represents Moo Duk Kwan, the origin of Tang Soo Do. The belt represents the continuity of life, each stage progressing to the next. Within the belt is Tang Soo Do written in Korean.
